tonight marks the last night of being alone in this house for the past 5 days. mm i’ve been home alone (for the first time ever) since my parents went to china for a holiday on wednesday, so yeah it has been an interesting weekend :) the fact that tests ended on wednesday, essay deadlines ended on thursday and the semester came to a close made it even more exciting :P (okay yes i should be studying..) no curfews, no restrictions, nobody to meddle with my own business. it’s like living the future: alone in my own house, doing what i want to do without caring about what people are going to think/do to me. k that sounded kinda inconsiderate but i guess it was pretty fun living alone for this short amount of time, especially when i don’t need to do laundry at the moment haha. but i guess this experience has made me learn to be more independent and to appreciate my mum more, having done her chores in the house. i’ve fed the pets, mopped the house, collected newspapers and letters, cooked my own meals, washed up after that, dried the crockery, boiled water, filled bottles, shopped for groceries, threw the rubbish out, locked the doors and double checked, blah blah.. yup lots of stuff that i used to take for granted. now i know how tiring it is.. well, it was fun nonetheless. i think i’ll learn to live alone in future :) one bad thing about living alone is FOOD. since i do not possess a mastery of the culinary arts and can only cook instant noodles or beehoon or whatever simple instant lousy food, i’ve been sourcing for food outside the house or ordering in.. which includes loads of tidbits, snacks, expensive meals, mcbreakfast (sinful!), and all that unhealthy stuff.. i must learn how to cook before i live alone hahaha :P wish this home alone period could be slightly longer but i’m still glad that mum is coming back tmr evening so i’m going to wait for her patiently (while mugging) and tell her that i love her for mopping the house for the past 10 years :D hee.

alrighty, gonna sleep soon. i’ve been going to sleep at the wee hours lately and i need to start mugging instead of drawing out study plans :\ can’t wait for exams to be over in 16 days!

and the year is coming to an end :) had japanese lesson today and was in time for the light-up at 7.30pm :D hmm it’s the first time i ‘witnessed’ a  light-up at orchard road! what a special feeling :D somehow it makes me so excited about christmas!

anyway! life has been so hectic :\ i hate rushing for deadlines (the only thing i’ve been doing since.. RECESS WEEK) and going to school is becoming quite a chore.. i mean, nanyang drive is really quite far away from sixty chwee chian road! D: but it’s okay, school is ending in one week and then it’s all about mugging for exams! and i’ve been back to acjc kinda often these days so i feel great :) ahh it feels so good to be reconnected with the places i love even though being there won’t feel the same again.. well, who doesn’t miss jc days? haha :D ramble ramble~

so anyway i got back my japanese mock test results today. 298/400! and they gave me a (^o^)V sign next to my mark haha! so cute. hai i need to buck up on my grammarrrr! hmm i really wonder if this language will bring me somewhere someday. who knows i might be a sociologist for Japanese society! hahaha :P at the same time, i intend to take both japanese and korean modules to fill up my UEs :D hmm so maybe i might be a sociologist for Korean society! and unite North and South one day :D HAHA i’m spewing nonsense.

anyway, my dad found my long lost O level certificate somewhere in the house today while ransacking and cleaning. this calls for a celebration woohoo hahaha!

come on you need to finish this tutorial and do the essay and finish that assignment and do those two essays. and then start mugging. come on come on. no time to slack and paint nails.

i should do this quick cause my laptop is very heated up for some reason and i need to rest for the night. very badly.

life is weird. things seem so easy one moment, crazy difficult the next. but whatever it is, i’m living it, for 19 years now.

this weekend has been great. i’ve been pampering myself and i’ve been pampered by others. went shopping, ate lots of awesome food, had heaps of  fun, did all the things i enjoy. though i’m not sure what my birthday really means to me, i’m thankful i could enjoy it this year.

ikea meatballs with P, sakae dinner with W and Y. supper and awesome sleepover with C, beef noodles with E, some band lovin’, duets with T, kuishin-bo buffet dinner with P and M. sentosa cycling with S and Y, hongkong lunch and starbucks chillin’ with S Y M S, nydc dinner and cold rock with Y M G R. 3 cakes (increasing in size by the day), gifts that i treasure, memories that i keep in my heart.

i love reminiscing jc days. laughing about the same jokes over and over, replaying the funniest parts, imitating other people, reliving the dream of swiss trip. ah, i really miss everyone, everything, all of it. when i am rich i will travel to the same parts of japan and swiss and austria i went to on my band trips and relive my memories. i will travel to countries i haven’t been to before and explore the world. gosh can’t wait to graduate from uni and get a job and earn big bucks and travel the world..

okay hello reality, it is currently year 1 sem 1. samho you retard.

• choosing the right modules for the semester
• take first week seriously
• choosing the right topics for presentation
• planning time well for exams
• keep mondays free for the rest of my 4 years if possible

sigh.

not knowing what to do, where to go, my feet led me to the familiar back gate of acjc.

stepping into acjc, i really felt i’ve finally come home.

the band room was open, the kids were hanging around. it was a non-band day, and i spent a few hours there.

no other place feels like home. i’ve come home to you.
